Our Academic Stages

Kindergarten

Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten, taught the Montessori way.

Primary School

Classes I to V, CBSE curriculum, class-teacher led.

Middle School

Classes VI to VIII, where subject teaching begins.

Senior School

Classes IX to XII, with Science, Commerce or Humanities.

The academic session runs from 1 April to 31 March, following the Central Board of Secondary Education.

How the day is used

Periods change every fifty minutes through the morning. After lunch there are four more, and these include supervised self-study and academic discussion — the part of the day that replaces homework and tuition. A child who has not understood something has a teacher in the room while they work on it.

Classes

Pre-Nursery and Kindergarten are taught the Montessori way, by handling and doing. From Class I the CBSE curriculum is followed through to Class XII, where Science, Commerce and Humanities streams are offered.

Terms

Nursery to Class V work in three terms. Classes VI to XII work in two: April to September, and October to March.
