29 years in the service of education
The idol of Mamta Niketan
A tree in a storm, bending but never breaking
An independent personality in times when independence and women seemed two contradictory words. A lady of principles, who stood through the times like a tree in a storm, bending and flexing but never breaking.
This divine soul raised her only successor on her own, standing against a male-dominated society that did everything possible to break the confidence of a single mother. But she fought and rose through the tide of times to give her twigs the right direction.
Her solemn desire was to bring the spark of education to every growing citizen of society, irrespective of status and capability.
She served for 29 years in the field of education in this remote, educationally backward area. Her dreams are being realised by Mamta Niketan Charitable Educational Trust (Regd.), founded by her social successors.
Mamta Niketan is an embodiment of her feelings, and as immortal as she herself.
Sardarni Dalbir Kaur is always alive in the hearts of Mamta Niketanians.
